Roberts Warr Electronics Ltd was founded in 1983 by Ron and Christine Roberts. Prior to this, Ron was founder and Managing Director of REL Ltd, a highly successful component distributor and power supply manufacturer.
REL Industrial manufactured high tech power supplies for the Aerospace industry - British Aerospace being a major customer. The power supply used in the Rapier Missile system was designed and manufactured by RELI.
In setting up RWE, the intention was to run a much smaller company in terms of employees, etc., concentrating more on the low cost market, importing product from Taiwan and now China. The new business was most successful in the computer market, selling more than 500,000 custom PSUs to Acorn Computers plc between 1986 and 1998 when Acorn decided to cease hardware manufacture.

Along side this, RWE has built up a substantial customer base and has a great deal of experience and expertise in both the technical and logistical aspects of importation of Power Supplies. Our contacts in the Far East are well established and our systems in the UK are well able to support high volume contracts.
Whilst we have maintained our original desire to be small, we have proved our ability to handle turnover in excess of £2million annually and pride ourselves on our wholly individual attention to our clients' requirements.
