DC Output UPS BD-050 is a new device by Beam Tech Electronics Co., Ltd for security or fire-alarm systems. It was made in Taiwan and its features are:

The C300 and B300 Series’ of 150W DC/DC Converters, AC/DC Power Supplies, and Battery Chargers are products introduced by Schaefer, Inc.

The C300 DC/DC ranges of 10-16V, 18-36V, 36-75V, 45-90V, 80-160V, 160-320V, and 320-380V with 10 single output voltages ranging from 5VDC to 220VDC. The C300 AC/DC Series offers the same range of output voltages from a choice of 110VAC, 230VAC, or 115-230VAC inputs. The BP200 Series of Battery Charges provides output voltages ranging from 12VDC to 290VDC.

Efficiencies range from 70-90%, other features are remote sense, comprehensive overvoltage and overload protection circuitry. Available options include DC input reverse polarity protection, redundant operation, remote on/off, and temperature compensated charging voltage.

After a few years of research a new a new type of heavy current output inductance filter NIF has been developed. Its volume is propotional to the output current. Although it’s not an energy storage device, it doesn’t restict the improvement of the response speed. And it’s one of the advantages of NIF. 

Atmel’s AT90PWMx support the dimming fluorescent and the HID ballast segments. The 8-Kbyte Flash AT90PWM3 and AT90PWM2 devices allow to network the ballasts to a centralized system and achieve high flexibility in controlling light levels, maintenance benefits and high energy savings.

It’s a new product family of modules for active PFC by Tyco Electronics / Power Systems. PFC modules are for SMPS and Welding Applications.

They’ve got ultra high efficiency up to 88% and allow for a wide operating temperature of -40C to +75C. Other features are remote on/off, 2250VDC input-to-output isolation, and comprehensive protection circuitry.

The THN-15 Series is RoHS compliant, has a high MTBF and a three year warranty.
