Narrow Profile Power Supplies

Friday, February 29th, 2008

The single-output device by Acopian provide from 3.3 to 125 volts and deliver up to 288 watts in applications where other supplies won’t fit.

Power factor correction and output inhibit capability are features met with Models with outputs greater that 120 watts. The temperature of all models varies from 0 to +71 degrees Celsius. Amongst other features there are: remote sensing capability, overload, over-voltage, short-circuit and thermal protection.

The kHz switchers are very small (1.7 x 3.5 x7 inches). They include an input filter, have line regulation of ± 0.05 percent, load regulation of ±0.05 percent, and transient response of 300 microseconds for a return.

Medical Power Supply - PCB-Mount

Tuesday, February 26th, 2008

The 15-watt TPS-series is a product of medical UL60601 power supplies. The devices accept AC or DC inputs and provide single dual and triple outputs. Output voltages range from 3.3VDC to 24VDC.

Operating temperature ranges from -25 degrees C to +70 degrees C. Standards are RoHS compliance, over current, short circuit, over voltage and over temperature protections.

The products feature also chassis-mount packaging with a variety of input and output connection variations.

CEC Compliant External Power Supplies

Friday, February 22nd, 2008

CEC Compliant External Power Supplies is a product line of desktop power adapters by Power Sources Unlimited.

The devices may be used in communications, instrumentation, and computer peripherals. Their output power ranges from 20W to 63W, whereas their sigle output are fully regulated and ranges from 5VDC to 50VDC. All models are highly efficient, feature an 85-264VAC input and comprehensive protection circuitry. The operating temperature varies from 0C to 70C. The CEC Compliant External Power Supplies have safety certification to EN60950-1 standards, are are RoHS compliant and have a two-year warranty.

5kW Power Converter

Tuesday, February 19th, 2008

The C/B 4800 Series of 6U DC/DC and AC/DC converter modules have been introduced by Schaefer Inc. The output power in the device ranges from 2.4W to 5kW. The C/B 4800 Series feature a very robust design and provide a high density.

The device can be used in railway controls and communications equipment, military applications, oil rigs applications, fuel cell applications, transportation and others.

The standard operation temperature is -20 degrees C to +75 degrees C. There is also an option of -40 degrees C.

All models have  protection circuitry including overvoltage, overload, short circuit protection and thermal shutdown with auto restart.

Green Computer Plan

Friday, February 15th, 2008

Climate Savers Computing Initiative has been taken by over 25 organizations, among others, Intel Corporation, Google Inc. and Environmental Protection Agency.

The aim is to cut the amount of energy computers consume by 2010. Energy-efficient technology will make computers and servers more expensive but then electricity bills will be lower. Besides customers who want to buy “green PCs”, will get rebates.

World Wildlife Fund’s Climate Savers program was the first initiative to help companies to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions. Now the program has been extended by the Climate Savers Computing Initiative. Manufacturers agreed to design, produce and sell the quipment that meet the new standards.

720 watt Power Supplies

Tuesday, February 12th, 2008

The new power supplies provide either a constant voltage or a constant current. The products are by Acopian, a global supplier of AC-DC power supplies, DC-DC converters; redundant and multiple-output power systems.

Adjustment down to 0 volts in models with wide output voltage is possible. Easy wiring of the control and input leads are obtainable as voltage and current monitor outputs and an inhibit terminal have been included on the pluggable connectors.

The devices have also universal input, PFC, ‘soft start’ operation, ‘Vout ok’ indicator and “no load” operation.

Fire System UPS — DC Output UPS

Tuesday, February 5th, 2008

Beam Tech Electronics Co., Ltd has presented a device for security or fire alarm system.

The device has been made in Taiwan. It’s design is micro-processor based. It’s got a universal output range, online structure and zero transference. It can indicate full operation data and is protected short circuit.

A Heavy Current Output DC Inductance Filter With Very High L/V

Friday, February 1st, 2008

A new type of heavy current output inductance filter (NIF) has been developed. The main change to the previous version is that it’s not an energy storage device. Its volume is proportional to the output current rather than the square of output current. One of the advantages of the new device is improved speed.

Compared with the traditional output inductance filter, the volume of NIF is reduced, and the heavier current, the more reduction.
