MA Power Sources Unlimited has introduced the Tracopower TEN30WIN Series of 30W, wide input DC/DC converters. They are packaged in an ultra compact 2″ x 1″ shielded metal package with an industry standard pin configuration.

Input voltages range from 9-36VDC to 18-75VDC, whereas output voltages ranges are outputs with voltages ranging from 1.5VDC to 15VDC. The new series have operating temperature of -40C to +75C, 1500VDC isolation, overtemperature and short circuit protection, undervoltage lockout, adjustable output voltages and remote on/off.

A CompactPCI COTS power supply for the military, industrial and railway markets has been introduced by Telkoor Power Supplies Ltd.

The new family of products is easy to use in harsh applications. The operating temperature is from -20 degrees to +60 degrees. There is wide range AC input 100-240VAC including 400Hz and wide range DC input 18-72VDC. There are three models available: 900-3011-xxC (CPCI-DC-3U-200/24- COTS), 900-4602-xx (CPCI-AC-3U-300-COTS) and 900-6602-0000 (CPCI-AC-6U-400-COTS). The cPCI COTS products are the highest power density rugged solution in the industry for cPCI applications.

The devices can operate in the temperature up to +125 degrees Celsius. They also feature high volume/capacitance ratio, low deviation of capacitance, dissipation factor and insulation resistance versus temperature and Self-healing.

They can be used in automotive electronics and lighting.

The capacitors are available in rated voltages of 63VDC, 100VDC and 250VDC. The operating temperature ranges from -55 degrees to +125 degrees. The climatic test category is 55/125/21 in accordance with IEC.

International Rectifier introduced the iPOWIR™ iP2003A. It is a power building block solution multiphase synchronous buck converters with a 3V to 13.2V input voltage range. The new device is designed for low voltage power rails in servers, desktops and data communication systems.

The device can operate 1MHz with an output current rating of 40A to a 100°C case temperature.

The devices can deliver 160A output current with a 55% board space savings.

Hybrid Emitter-Switched Bipolar Transistors have been introduced by STMicroelectronics. The new devices offer low forward voltage drop, the new ESBT series represents a breakthrough in the area of high voltage, high switching frequency applications, high blocking voltage and fast switching speed.

The new ESBT has also high voltage capability of up to 1.7kV. This allows designs to operate with a higher flyback voltage and a higher duty cycle.

The new family products include the STC03DE170, STC05DE150 and the STC08DE150. All these products have a Vcs(sat) value of 0.9V, minimising conduction losses, while the absence of tail currents also minimises turn-off losses.

EnOcean is de facto standard for wireless, batteryless and maintenance free sensors. Even the smallest temperature and pressure changes make the sensors their readings and transmit their results.

Two technoligies were combined in the device: the harvesting of energy from the environment and the use of radical power management techniques. That allows the device to use a very small amout of energy. The EnOcean devices do not need batteries or an external power source.

The devices can be used in the building automation, industrial manufacturing and automotive technology.

A new family products for the P-Band Pulsed Radar Applications has been introduced by Advanced Power Technology.

 The new devices offer newer and cheaper design, high power and high gain over the frequency range and the lowest droop over 150us pulse width.

Three models are available: 0910-60M, 0910-150M and 0910-300M. These transistors handle medium pulse widths of 150us with a duty cycle of 5% minimum. The transitors offer output power of 300W, outstanding power gain of 9.6 dB, droop performance of 0.5 dB and 50% of collector efficiency.
