The NCP1654 is a controller for Continuous Conduction Mode (CCM) Power Factor Correction Step up preconverters. The device controls the power switch conduction time and is dependant on the instantaneous coil current. It also simplifies the PFC implementation and minimizes the number of external components.
The device features brownout detection, a programmable overcurrent protection and overvoltage protection, programmable overpower limitation, continuous conduction mode and undervoltage detection for open loop detection.
