ROBERTS WARR ELECTRONICS LTD introduces its latest External Desktop Power Supply from HITRON ELECTRONICS CORPORATION of Taiwan.
The HEMP250G Range (250W Green Medical and ITE use) Power Supply is the most powerful in a range covering 10 – 250W.

HEMP250G Series feature both ITE (IEC60950-1) and Medical (IEC60601-1) standard, offer very low “No Load Power Consumption” of less than 0.5W, high efficiency level of up to 89% for the 12V variant and comply with Energy Star Level V. A Power density as high as 3.78W per cubic inch has been achieved.

HEMP250G accept Input Voltages between 90 – 264Vac and incorporate Power Factor Correction(PFC) enabling compliance with Harmonic requirement per EN61000-3-2.

Output Voltages are available in 12V, 24V and 48Vdc making them suitable for a diverse range of electronic equipment. Safety features include Overload, Overvoltage and Short circuit protection plus Over Temperature protection.

GREAT NEW DC/DC COMPACTPCI POWER SUPPLY FROM ROBERTS WARR

ROBERTS WARR ELECTRONICS LTD announces a newly developed 382 Watt DC/DC CompactPCI Power Supply from HITRON ELECTRONICS CORPORATION of Taiwan.
The HDC350P-24B-490 has industry-standard size dimensions of 6U x 8HP for both industrial and high-availability telecom applications.

This new design with DC input 18-36VDC (nominal 24Vdc) is ruggedly built to operate within -20°C to +50°C under a forced 600 LFM Airflow or -20°C to +70°C in 800 LFM Airflow complying with EMC Class A standard.

The HDC350P-24B-490 is fully compliant with PICMG and also has the customary +5VDC, +3.3VDC and +/-12VDC outputs which provides state-of-the-art power density and application flexibility to ensure successful implementation in its application.

With a power density of 3.45 Watts per cubic inch this new DC/DC model features higher than 81% efficiency. Output protection features include overvoltage, over temperature, overload and short circuit.

Industry Move from Analog to Digital Power Supply Components

A recently released IMS Research report, “The World Market for Semiconductors in Merchant Power Supplies”,  predicts increasing growth for power supplies with digital control and management components, which in turn will lead to an increased demand for Silicon Carbide diodes, Digital Signal Processors and Microprocessors.  A phasing out is predicted for of the older controlling components such as PFC controller ICs, analog controllers and regulators is also predicted.

Senior Market Analyst at IMS Research’s Power and Energy group, Ryan Sanderson, commented, “The impact on some analog component markets is somewhat offset by growth in the markets for components which have previously not been used in power supplies. The market for MPUs and DSPs in merchant power supplies is forecast to increase four-fold from 2010 to 2015, and the use of SiC diodes is increasing rapidly, particularly in the PFC stage.”

Roberts Warr as the UK distributor for Hitron power supplies will be in a good position to satisfy customer demand for this new technology as Hitron are in the final stages of developing a new range of power supplies which will use digital controls.

The report predicts that the total market for semiconductors and components in merchant power supplies withll be at $7 billion by 2015. AC-DC power supplies will account for just over 90% of this, with DC-DC power supplies accounting for less than 10%.

HiTRON ,Taiwan power supply manufacturer, has successfully developed its new HEMP150G series, a high efficiency 120-150Watt AC-DC Green Power adaptor.

HEMP150G series feature both ITE (Information Technology Equipment IEC60950-1) and Medical (IEC60601-1), bear the CE mark, conform to FCC/EN55022 Level B Conducted Emission Standard and meet the requirements for lower power consumption requirement stipulated in ENERGY STAR Level V and CEC(California Energy Commission)
Level IV.

HEMP150G have 90-264 VAC universal input range using the standard IEC320-C14, IEC320-C6 and IEC320-C8 AC receptacle and 12-24V output voltage range with PFC function which can comply with the harmonic requirement per EN61000-3-2 and also fulfill the requirements of various electronic equipments. HEMP150G series have 88-90% of high efficiency and power density of 3.53-4.38 per cubic inch. Output protection features include overvoltage,
overload and short circuit.
